We're a garage door repair company based in Newark, covering Fremont, Union City and the southern half of Hayward. We publish our prices, we answer our own phone, and we'd rather turn down a job that's too far away than take it and arrive late.
Why we're set up this way
Two things about this market bothered us enough to build around them. The first is that almost nobody publishes a price. Out of eleven local companies we looked at, one has a pricing page. The first question every customer asks is what it costs, and the standard answer is a form.
The second is that the local pages on most of these sites could be about anywhere. Not one of the city pages we checked mentions a neighborhood, a ZIP, a street or anything about the housing. Newark is a 1960s city, Hayward is a 1950s city and Union City is a 1970s city, and those three facts change what goes wrong on a door and what it costs to put right. So our area pages carry the actual figures.
What we cover, and what we don't
Newark, all of Fremont, Union City, and Hayward in 94545 and 94544. We don't cover central or north Hayward, and we don't take work beyond Niles Canyon, because that road closes for slides often enough that we couldn't promise to arrive.
The name
Chen is the registered name of the business. It's short, it's easy to say and easy to spell, and that matters in an area where a lot of people are speaking English as a second language. There's no story attached to it beyond that.
