Same-day garage door repair
If a door has failed with a car shut inside, say that when you call and we'll book you first. We hold same-day slots for Newark, Fremont and Union City, and calls before noon are the ones we can most reliably reach the same day. South Hayward and Mission San Jose are further, and we'll tell you honestly on the phone rather than after.
What to tell us on the phone
Whether a vehicle is trapped. Whether the door is stuck open, which is a security problem, or stuck closed. What you heard when it failed, because a bang almost always means a spring and that tells us what to bring.
Your cross streets. Union City in particular can be quick or slow depending on which of the five Alameda Creek crossings we need, so knowing where you are changes the arrival estimate.
What not to do while you wait
Don't keep pressing the button. Running the opener against a broken spring, a snapped cable or a door that's off its track is what turns one repair into two or three.
If the door is off track or hanging crooked, leave it exactly where it is.
Drive times, honestly
From our Newark base, Centerville is about four or five minutes on clear roads, Union City around nine to eleven, Warm Springs about ten, south Hayward thirteen to fifteen, and Mission San Jose fourteen to seventeen. Traffic on I-880 and Mission Boulevard can add half again to those, and we'd rather quote a range than a number we miss.

Questions we get asked
Do you charge more for a same-day call?
No. The diagnostic visit is $39 whenever you book it, and it comes off the bill when you go ahead with the repair.
The door is stuck open and I need to leave the house.
Tell us that on the phone. An open door is a security problem, and getting it closed safely is usually a faster job than the full repair.
