Why did my garage door remote stop working?
Usually a weak battery, or pairing lost after a power event. Range that shrinks over weeks points to an LED bulb in the opener jamming the receiver. How do I re-pair a garage door remote?
Find the learn button on the opener head, usually by the light lens or the antenna wire. Press and release it, then within about half a minute press the remote button you want to use. The opener light blinks or clicks once it has learned the code.
Can a light bulb stop a remote working?
Yes. Some LED bulbs give off radio noise on the band the receiver listens to. Swap in a different bulb and test the range. It costs nothing to try.
